My Story

As a documentary filmmaker my passion is sharing women's stories in a way that inspires, moves, and connects us all.

  • In high school I directed and edited my first documentary, ("I Agree With Jennifer,"). When it won an award and prize money for a local non-profit, my eyes were open to the power of advocacy for change through digital storytelling.

  • Since then, the creative process of filmmaking has given me a purpose. I love the way this craft enables me to integrate the skills of communication, technology, and artistry.

  • Over the last decade I have cultivated experience in this field as a Producer, Videographer, and Editor of digital video for non-profit, lifestyle, and tech organizations. In 2017, I also completed my Bachelors of Arts in Cinema with an emphasis in Documentaries from San Francisco State University.

  • Some of my professional highlights include building the first official video department at Fistula Foundation, editing and shooting promotional content for for Cinequest Film Festival, and traveling internationally to Nepal and France on shooting assignments.

  • In my current role as the Digital Media Manager at Fistula Foundation, I execute and support the full life-cycle of the video production process. A project I am currently collaborating on and excited about is the production of a short, professional-grade documentary. The piece follows along on one woman's transformational journey to healing from the devastating childbirth injury, obstetric fistula.

  • My professional goals and aspirations range from creating short and feature-length documentaries, working in the outdoors and adventure industry, and collaborating with other creatives.
